When I was a kid, I desperately wanted a tamagotchi.

You know, those little electronic pets you had to keep alive for no other reason than your friends all had them, too.

Unfortunately, being cute is not viable tender at Toys ‘R’ Us!

So even though I was a painfully shy kid, I started to deliver papers and walked around to the whole neighborhood asking if anyone who was not on the list wanted to start a subscription.

It was not fun. I hated putting myself out there like that.

But I was successful in doing enough work to buy that silly little gadget.

What’s the point here?

👉 The universe won’t just hand-deliver your wildest dreams to your door. You can’t just Instacart it! 👈

You have to put yourself out there and take bold risks if you want big things in return.

Will it be scary and awkward? Maybe.

Will you learn something valuable in the process? And will it get less and less scary with each chance you take? Absolutely.

If you ask me, the reward is worth the discomfort of putting yourself out there.

There’s comfort in your familiar and ‘safe’

But this routine is also making you miserable.

Comfortable… but miserable. [Like sitting in an air-conditioned waiting room for two hours.]

Doing the same things you’ve always done. Getting the same results you’ve always seen.

Going through the motions, but not really feeling *awake!*

We all go through funks like this. We’re people! We get tired and burnt out from everything we have to do. Comfortable and safe starts to sound pretty darn good sometimes.

Consider this a friendly shake that reminds you to SNAP OUT OF IT!

You don’t want to stay where you are.

You’ve got *goals!!* Big, delicious, *extraordinary* goals.

To see them through? To get somewhere you’ve never been before?

You’ve got to start doing things you’ve never done.

So, change it up! Take risks. Be bold.

It’ll be worth it every time. I promise!

Just like you have to do something you’ve never

Just like you have to do something you’ve never done to get something you’ve never had, you have to take risks or be okay with settling for the alternatives.

Risking the usual can feel unsafe. After all, it’s the usual…it’s a comfort zone that you’re familiar with. You *know* what to expect.

And that makes your ego feel safe.

When you start risking that, your ego will do whatever it can to bring you back to safety.

But in the end, it’s just a construct of your mind.

You’re not *less safe* because you said yes to a butterflies-in-the-stomach opportunity.

You’re just stepping out of the usual so you don’t settle for the ordinary.

I mean, don’t take this as a carte-blanche to cross the street without looking.

But *do* take this as an invitation to go for the opportunities life gives you.

I believe you were made for great things. Go get them!

The other day, boundaries kept coming up.

When things are repeated like that, my ears perk up. 👂👂👂(No, I don’t have three ears…)

Maybe not after the first or even second time I hear it. But when it gets to 3+, that’s when I’m like “Okay Universe, got it!”

So I kept hearing that and it got me thinking…

And as with any good reflection, I started with myself. Where am I needing boundaries?

And it was like someone called for the Ton-of-Bricks party because it suddenly hit me…

I really need to stop beating myself up for saying no to working so that I have time for other areas of my life, and know that I’m doing the best I can with the time that I have set aside for work.

It really makes me feel honestly like 💩when I beat myself up that much.

So I decided that I am using time blocking to give my time for clients, family and for myself so that I don’t get overworked or neglect my relationships.

I’m really looking forward to the change this makes for me. I’ll report back!

👋 Hi! Wendy here. I’m a content creation who specializes in generating traffic with engaging content for coaches.

You may ask, is content creation hard? Well, I think it’s easier than painting a wall and not getting smudges on the ceiling.

But I’ve been doing this for a while (8 to be exact).

I got started because I was always fascinated by having a creative outlet that was beneficial to others.

It wasn’t until I had a platform to use that desperately needed new traffic to not just their site and social but their physical location.

And I keep doing it because seeing people interact with my creations proudly makes me feel so great. Knowing that I took some raw images and made something that people visit online and interact with a business.

It really does make me happy.

I mean, if you have a choice, why would you spend your days doing something you hate? I recognize that’s a luxury not everyone has and I’m insanely grateful for it.
